Perhaps you may not realize it when you are purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, but some brands have a considerable impact on your community and other communities around the United States. Hyundai Motor America is one of the brands that care about its drivers and the community. For the third year in a row, South Korean automaker Hyundai served as the title sponsor of Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks.
This year at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California, Autism Speaks brought more than 30,000 participants together to raise money for autism awareness and research to better understand the developmental disorder.
How did Hyundai get involved? Ruth Eisen, Executive Director and Associate General Counsel for Hyundai Motor America, led the event with opening remarks on how autism has brought challenges to her family: , "As the mother of a child with autism, I am proud to work for Hyundai and to see its commitment and compassion for children's health. Hyundai and I are honored to have been a part of the 2012 Walk Now for Autism Speaks and to help increase research for, and awareness of, autism to better the quality of life of the kids and families dealing with autism every day."1
The new Hyundai Tucson was the event's official vehicle and led the
way for walkers and runners. The brand
plans to continue reaching out and aiding even more community members across the
country. To find out more about the
Hyundai's initiatives, feel free to reach out to Taylor Hyundai,
